Information we may collect from you
CTC Wessex Cycling (hereinafter “CTC Wessex”) may collect personal information from you in the following ways:
- When you make a phone call or send an e-mail to ask us for information about our rides, events, or to order club clothing;
- Through our use of the Cookies on our website (please see the Cookies section below);
- Through your request to be added to a mailing list;
- Through your registration for events;
- Through your contacting us with enquiries and comments;
- Through volunteering and event attendance;
How we store your information
CTC Wessex doesn’t store any identifiable information or contact details on the web server.
If you join one of our ride groups you may need to provide your email address and/or mobile phone number so the group organiser can contact you in case of any changes to the ride. If you provide your email address and/or mobile number, you are agreeing to the group organiser keeping these details on their computer and other devices in order to contact you.
Should you wish to be removed from the a CTC Wessex riding group mailing list, please contact the group organiser and request to have your contact details (email address and/or mobile phone number) removed from their computer and other devices. You will find the email of each group organiser on the Rides pages. Alternatively, please contact the CTC Wessex Chair.
Cookies & Other Data
Web Server logs
Our web hosting provider collects some anonymous analytical data in its log files, these include your IP address, web page (URL) visited, referring web page (where you came to the site from), the date and time you visited, and your browser. Visitors cannot opt out of this tracking. This information is collected to ascertain website usage statistics, and to help our web developer fix errors or broken links on our site.
Functional Cookies
The CTC Wessex website does not use Functional Cookies if you are just browsing the website. The site does not require visitors to login to view any content. You can see a list of the Cookies here.
If you are a team member and a registered user on the site, when you login to the CTC Wessex website we will need to use cookies to manage your logged-in user session and authentication.
If you leave a comment on one of the Noticeboard posts the site will need to remember your name and email address for the comment form.
If you are registered on the CTC Wessex website, you can request to receive a file of the personal data we have for you. You can request that we delete any personal data we hold about you. Please contact the CTC Wessex Chair should you have such a request.
Analytical Cookies
Currently the site does not collect analytical cookies, such as via Google Analytics.
Marketing Cookies
The CTC Wessex website does not have any third-party advertising and therefore there are no marketing cookies.
