The ‘Toasters’ use quiet roads at the pace of the slowest riders, making it ideal for newcomers to group cycling. The route is a 20 to 25 mile ride from Wimborne Square to Blandford, mostly flat with a couple of moderate hills. Coffee and toast in one of Blandford’s many cafes make the whole ride duration around 3 hours. Typically we arrive back at Wimborne around 12.30. Our experienced riders will encourage and assist women and men of all ages and abilities to develop their cycle touring abilities.
The first Tuesday in the month is a women-led ride, with the route, speed and distance being decided by the women in the group. The men are still welcome to join, but need to take their seat at the back!
